RP Rules

[1.1] No player can commit RDM (Random Death Match) against another player, this is the act of killing someone with no RP reason. You may only kill other players if they pose a threat to the Republic (i.e. event enemies) or ordered to by the Republic Army Officers.

[1.2] Metagaming is prohibited. This is the act of using information gained from OOC sources. For example, you may not go to someone's aid due to them calling for help over Discord. Instead this must be done through in-game chats via /comms or over the commslink voice system.

[1.3] Powergaming is prohibited. This is the act of imposing your idea of RP over someone without their consent. For example you may not say '/me breaks your arms in 5 places so you are unable to hold a weapon.' Unless clear consent is given by the other party, you must remain neutral with your roleplay and are welcome to suggest the idea to the other party and wait for their response before acting on it.

[1.4] FailRP is prohibited. FailRP is the act of failing to roleplay. This includes but is not limited to; ignoring orders, acting out of character also known as being a 'minge' or using tools and weapons outside of your roleplay parameter for example using jetpacks without having jetpack training.

[1.5] FearRP is in place at all times. FearRP is the act of roleplaying with fear in mind. You have to roleplay as real individual and are expected to be fearful of certain things. For example if a player is holding a gun to you, you must roleplay as being fearful of being shot. This does not mean you have to scream and cry through voice systems, but does mean that you would not be allowed to suddenly pull out your own weapon and start firing. Event characters may not follow FearRP dependant on the character for example droids can be justified as 'being programmed to retaliate under any circumstances'.

[1.6] NLR. New life rule is the act of roleplaying as a new life once killed. You do not have to forget everything and act as a new individual however the circumstances of your death are subject to NLR rule. For example if you are killed by a event character, you cannot respawn and say 'he was here, this is where he killed me/my brothers and has a bomb planted at base!'. You must respawn, and act as though you never died and are unaware of any knowledge leading up to your death unless filled in by other players.

[1.7] LTAP/LTARP is prohibited. LTAP/LTARP is the act of leaving to avoid punishment or leaving to avoid roleplay. In the event you break a server rule and are in the process of being punished by a Staff member you may not leave the server to avoid this. In circumstances where leaving the server is unavoidable, such as a powercut or having to leave your computer ASAP then please make this aware as soon as you can or else you are subject to this rule. This also applies to roleplay scenarios, if you are engaged in a roleplay scenario such as mandatory training, RP punishment like a demotion, or event then you cannot leave to avoid this situation.

Event Rules

[1.1] During events you may be another players enemy. If another player is roleplaying as a enemy faction to the Republic then they have every right to KOS, kidnap, hostage and engage with you. In the scenario that you believe they are breaking rules or are not following roleplay you are welcome to ask to step away from RP and consult with a Staff member. Please do not cause arguments and start speaking in a OOC manner to the event character and surrounding players as this ruins the fun for everyone involved.

[1.2] Republic players and event characters are prohibited from using a jetpack to transport cuffed/kidnapped players. You must either walk, call for transport or use other means.

[1.3] During events, do not assume a role outside your parameter. For example do not shout 'I've been trained in this!' and start roleplaying a bomb defusal without actual training or orders. Events Team will often take into consideration the players and roles online at the time and make events based on this, for example if there are excessive special forces then they may host events that include heavy special forces content and rely on those players to carry the event. If you have either not been trained, do not have the tools or means to do so please do not engage in roleplay even if you believe you are being helpful and pushing forward with the event.

[1.4] The Jedi Order is a separate entity to the Republic and may act accordingly during events. Whilst generally the ranking structures support the Jedi Order and Republic being integrated they may have different ideologies within roleplay. For example, a Jedi must roleplay as a peacekeeper and may not choose to engage in activities that go against this whereas Republic soldiers are bred to follow orders and are forced to engage with the roleplay.

This also works vice versa and with lightsaber wielding event characters, the Jedi Order must be considered as the primary defense against these characters and all players are expected to adhere to this. For example if a lone trooper crosses paths with a lightsaber opponent, rather than just point-blank shooting the individual and calling for backup, instead think about running away and calling for Jedi or running to the nearest Jedi. Only engage when absolutely necessary.

[1.5] Clone VIP roles are a donator role currently serving a 'pick up and play' alternative gameplay. These roles may not have proper ranking structures and therefore may cause confusion during events. Please keep in mind that all players roleplaying with VIP roles must still follow Republic Army Officers orders in all circumstances and may not go Rambo style on the enemies.

This rule also applies to staff/events/management teams. Please do not DM teams unless absolutely neccesary, do not DM staff asking about warnings issued or event team asking when they're hopping on but instead use public chats to ask 'Any events taking place soon?' or 'Can I speak to someone about a warning issued?' and wait for a response.
